Wordle: Soldiers

Sunday Whirl Wordle 285

Flat Box Blown Assembly Blues

I have carved prayers
into pine-brown doors
and bled them into drawers.

I dream of Ikea soldiers
hanging by their fingernails
across my kitchen walls.

We fed cardboard boxes into the fire;
it ate the papers
with their soldier orders, too.

Pine body by pine body will lie
on the living room floor
until my prayers are answered
or we all are turned to stone.
